A coincidence happen when we were covering ZTH TimeToAttack Round 4 at SIC, as we bump in to Team TRC (short for Type R Club) from Hong Kong testing their ‘beast-ly’ machine for the up coming final round of Formula D Asia Round 4 that will be held in KL.

As you can see, the Altezza SXE10 were being tested for handling and angles, and this machine will be piloted by 2008 D1GP overall champion Daigo Saito.

The highly anticipated *final showdown* of the popular Time To Attack:
Sepang series is happening this *Sunday, 12th December 2010*. Organised by Zerotohundred.com in partnership with HPC Motorsport, the event is *part of ZTH 10th anniversary celebrations*.

This final round is by invitation only and only the fastest ‘Time Attackers’ from the previous rounds are invited* for the final showdown to see who is the fastest around the Sepang International Circuit.

*’Track Attack’* will be in the morning before the actual event take place and public “circuit junkies” can register to participate for some fun lap, this event is open to the public to take part in. And the more interesting itenary would be a drag race, not any drag race, however this is the drag battle for the Godzilla, *GT-R-only drag race* that features over *20 of
the fastest GT-R’s in Malaysia*. Similar to the GT-R battles held at NISMO
Festival in Japan, this pedal-to-the-metal drag race promises to add more
adrenalin to the event.

To those track junkies that misses the good old days, ignition.my is calling for entries to their inaugral Saturday Night Fever Series – Preview Round, quick action needed if you don’t want to miss this, as limited spots are available.

Entry fee is RM 300 for Preview Round on 25th Dec 2010. And subsequently monthly round for next year will be RM 350.

Criteria to participate is pretty basic, your daily street legal cars with full interior are eligible (including running semi-slicks tyres).

Modifications on your ride is open, from night-glow to chrome stickers and StreetGlow neon-light are welcomed and recommended! (you will be lighting up the circuit)

 Participant will get 3 heat on the circuit, with 5-laps per heat.

5 categories are being offered for the series and preview round with Campro Chase, FF Festival, RWD Pursuit, 4WD Battle, and Racing Cars.

Limited to 80 -90 entries only

An iconic motorsports event of the 1990s, the infamous ‘Saturday Night Fever’ will be revived in spirit next year by Ignition.my. SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER SERIES will feature rounds every month and will be held at Sepang Circuit, with a introductory Preview Round taking place on 25^th December 2010.

Taking experience from their earlier successful SPEED CHALLENGE event organised together with RCA of Singapore, the Series aims to create the real-life excitement of console-game racing simulations such as Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsports. With the addition and spectacle of night-time driving at the Sepang Circuit North Track, the Series hopes to generate a new twist of enthusiast circuit action and exhilaration.

Saturday Night Fever is targeted at tuned Street-spec cars and run in a format just like in the games, offering the opportunity for Street-tuned owners to bring their hopped-up rides to the safety of the Sepang Circuit, and run a 5-lap challenge in heats of 10 cars at a time.

As explained by Adian Yein “We want to fuse elements of ‘Fast & Furious’ with ‘Gran Turismo’ and throw in NASCAR-level entertainment value to create a rich, healthy motorsports entertainment activity for everyone to enjoy.”

Ignition.my are looking at a hot-chick car-wash, booming music, booths selling motorsports apparel and accessories, and other forms of entertainment to keep the excitement running till late.

Look forward to seeing turbo-charged flame-spitting Nissan Silvias, Mitsubishi Evo Xs, and Subaru Imprezas on track with screaming, be-winged Honda Civic Type-Rs, Toyota Altezzas, BMWs and VW Golfs. It is hoped that such colour and variety will attract the new breed of drivers to the circuit, and get them off the streets.

“Just like any other sub-culture, the street-racers are misunderstood. They’re grew up racing modified street cars on the computer, and have now grown up and seek a playground. We’re providing it, and hope that they can make the next step to proper circuit and rally racing from here on,” expresses Adian.

Ignition.my released the first 3 event dates, being 25 Dec 2010, 15 Jan 2011, and 5 Mar 2011. Action starts at 7:00pm and goes on till midnight, with spectator tickets priced at RM 10.00 for General & Mall Area, and RM 30.00 for Paddock & Rooftop Access which will be limited in availability. Car Wash Tickets are available at RM 10.00 to hold the water hose, and Priority Parking in the Paddock is RM 50.00 but limited to 50 cars only.
